Peabody Petco recognized as Employer of the Year

Recently honored by Northeast Arc as Employer of the Year at our Business Awards Ceremony, Petco was so thrilled, they published the following Article and sent it out nationwide to all of their stores!

... In June 2010, GM Angela Rossi had an opening for a sales associate. Among candidates who showed up to interview was Nicole Amelio. Except for Nicole, who is deaf, also brought along her job aide from Northeast Arc. “Nicole really wanted to work with animals. We hired her and she’s been doing really well with us for a couple years now.” Earlier this year Angela received a phone call from Northeast Arc. “They told us we were chosen as Employer of the Year and I was totally surprised and very honored.” she said. “Nicole had been a great addition to our team and I know for myself and the rest of the team how rewarding it is to work with different types of people and it’s great to have that recognized not only within our team, but also within the community.“...
